Import contacts and map fields
Import CSV or text data safely and understand duplicate, suppression, bounce, and status options.
Import workflow
- 1
Prepare a CSV or text file with one row per contact and a clear email column.
- 2
Choose the destination list.
- 3
Choose whether duplicate contacts are skipped or overwrite the existing destination record.
- 4
Choose whether suppressed and previously bounced addresses are allowed or rejected.
- 5
Set the default format and contact states for imported rows.
- 6
Select Proceed, map source columns to Email and the list custom fields, then start the import.
- 7
You may leave the screen while processing continues. Return to review totals for processed, duplicate, invalid, suppressed, and bounced rows.
Use Not allowed for normal production imports
Allowing suppressed or bounced addresses back into a list can damage reputation and may conflict with a recipient’s prior preference.
