Cookie Policy
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (such as the browser storage used by Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) k2mailer.com uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. How we manage consent
Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are switched off by default. We use Google Consent Mode v2 so that Google Tag Manager and any Google tags it fires (like Google Analytics) only store data on your device once you accept, and only for the categories you accept. You can change your choice at any time.
3. Cookies we use
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Consent | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | k2m_consent, session/CSRF cookies | Remember your cookie choice and keep the site working correctly. | Not required | Up to 180 days |
| Analytics | Google Analytics (GA4) cookies, loaded via Google Tag Manager (GTM-5XTKD8ZD) | Understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, funnel steps, traffic sources) so we can improve it. | Required — off until you accept | Up to 14 months (Google Analytics default) |
| Marketing | Google Ads click/conversion signals | Measure the performance of ad campaigns that bring visitors to k2mailer.com. | Required — off until you accept | Up to 90 days |
| Attribution (first-party) | k2m_attr | Remembers the campaign (UTM parameters, ad click ID) that first brought you here, so signups can be attributed correctly. | Not required (no cookies/pixels from third parties; stores only campaign tags you arrived with) | Up to 90 days |
4. Google technologies
We use the following Google products on k2mailer.com:
- Google Tag Manager (container GTM-5XTKD8ZD) — the tag-management layer that loads our other tags. It does not set analytics or marketing cookies itself.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — configured inside Google Tag Manager, subject to the Analytics consent toggle above.
- reCAPTCHA — used on our signup, contact, and newsletter forms to reduce spam and automated abuse. It may set its own cookies as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not send names, email addresses, passwords, or other information that directly identifies you to Google Analytics or the Google Tag Manager data layer.
5. First-party attribution cookie
If you arrive from a campaign link (for example one containing utm_source, utm_campaign, or a gclid ad click ID), we store those tags in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days so that, if you later start a trial, we can tell which campaign it came from. This cookie holds only the campaign tags present in the URL — no personal information — and does not require separate consent.
6. Managing or withdrawing consent
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the "Manage cookie preferences" button on this page, or by clearing your browser's cookies for k2mailer.com, which will show the consent banner again on your next visit. You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings.
