Copy campaigns and restore revisions

Copy creates another campaign record for reuse. Revisions preserve saved historical versions of a campaign and can be previewed before restoring.

Reverting replaces the current campaign with the selected revision, so preview the revision and confirm that its subject and content are the intended version.

Campaign content changes constantly right up until send time: a subject line gets tightened, a promotional block gets swapped, a link gets updated. Without saved revisions, an accidental overwrite or a change made by a teammate can undo hours of work with no way back except rebuilding it from memory.

Because K2Mailer keeps a history of saved versions, you can treat editing a live campaign with more confidence. A change that turns out to be wrong, whether it is a broken merge tag, a missing unsubscribe link, or copy that simply does not read well, is recoverable in a couple of clicks rather than a manual rewrite.

Before making a significant edit to a campaign that is close to sending, get in the habit of checking the revision list so you know a known-good version exists to fall back on. This is especially useful when more than one person edits the same campaign, since it removes the guesswork about which version is currently live.

When you do need to revert, always preview the candidate revision first rather than trusting the timestamp alone; a revision saved a few minutes apart from another can still contain a meaningfully different subject line or call to action. If there is any chance you will want the current draft later, copy it into a new campaign before reverting so nothing is lost.
